Deirdre’s “I Have Too Much Yarn and Spinning Fiber” Sale

When: (to be determined, possibly Sunday, October 18)

Where: Menlo Park, California

Map and Contact Information Here

First, this is not a sale where I’ll ship yarn, so if you don’t live near the San Francisco peninsula, you’re out of luck.

Second, to give you an idea, the stash picture below shows my stash a couple of years ago. Each tote pictured holds, on average, 70 (50 gram) skeins of yarn. The price per tote is around $1 per skein, on average, but these are not inexpensive skeins of yarn, either.

Important allergy notices: non-smoking home. So far as I’m aware, none of my yarn has ever been stored near smoke even before I got it. That said, we have two cats (one very recent) and they haven’t been permitted in the yarn, but some yarn has gotten the occasional cat hair because it was on me or because I had the yarn out on a table.

I’ve re-sorted my totes into more “like kind” arrangements and priced them per tote. For this sale, I’ll take cash or PayPal (any funding method for the latter) on announced days, but if you’d like to pick up a tote, you can also pre-order it and pay via PayPal before the sale day. (If we find a mutually convenient time to meet before Sunday, that can also work.)

The following totes are sold and do not have picture pages: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 15, 16, and 21.

Tote 17 contains coned yarns.

Totes 5-12 and 19 are spinning fibers, mostly Ashland Bay and mostly Merino.

Totes 13 on up are skeins and hanks unless otherwise noted above.
