Pitcairn Island

January 16, 2014 by deirdre 1 Comment

Technically the occupied island out of the four-island group, a British Overseas Territory.

Home to 49 people. Though I’m not sure if that number is before or after the Pitcairn native we dropped off today.

Thanks greatly for these photos of Pitcairn. Would you tell me the ship you were on that dropped off the person at the island? In the Pitcairn Islands Study Center (pitcairnstudycenter.org) we keep a log of all ships calling, or even closely passing Pitcairn, and the name of the ship, where she was coming from before the stop at Pitcairn and whither bound after the call there would be greatly appreciated. Fair winds! Herb Ford, Director, Pitcairn Islands Study Center, hford@puc.edu.
